Starting Out as Uganda Tour Operators
We started as a Uganda tour operator in 2013. Our directors saw a need for a dedicated gorilla trekking company. We offered other safaris too, but gorilla trekking safaris were always our main focus.
At the time, most Uganda tour operators and Rwanda travel companies offered every kind of safari with no clear specialty. We chose to focus mainly on gorilla trekking, so we could deliver more than our clients expected.
Today, we offer free gorilla permits to clients who meet certain booking conditions. We plan to add free gorilla trekking gear for clients in the future. We also negotiate ongoing discounts with accommodation partners, so our clients get top gorilla trekking experiences for less.
Becoming a Rwanda Travel Company
In 2015, we expanded into Rwanda and became one of the Rwanda tour and travel companies specializing in gorilla trekking safaris. Our Uganda client base made this expansion easier, since many of our clients already wanted to trek gorillas in Rwanda too.
Expanding into Congo Safaris
To grow as a gorilla trekking company, we added Congo to our destinations. In Congo, we focus on mountain gorilla trekking and hiking Mount Nyiragongo. We do not currently offer lowland gorilla tracking, but plan to add it in the future.
Covering All of East Africa
We tailor safaris to Kenya, Tanzania, and Zanzibar. Our East Africa tour consultants have visited the major attractions in each country and will plan your trip around what matters to you. As a gorilla trekking company, we are also a Kenya tour operator, a Tanzania travel company, and a Zanzibar safari company.
Some clients want to trek gorillas, then travel to Masai Mara or Serengeti for wildlife viewing. We combine these destinations into a single package for trips like this, which is one reason we operate across the whole East Africa region.

Safari Vehicles
Your safari comfort starts with the vehicle. We use a range of 4×4 safari land cruisers and safari vans, and we do not assign old or worn vehicles regardless of your trip budget.

We negotiate directly with lodges to secure strong rates, including for budget travelers. We visit our partner accommodations and review them regularly. If a property drops in quality, we replace it, so every client stays at a standard we approve.
