Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast at your lodge on this first day of your 5-day Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari, a tour guide from our gorilla trekking company will pick you up and take you for a Kigali city tour, visiting places like the genocide memorial monument, Caplaki crafts village, Kimironko market, and then transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.

Upon reaching Bwindi, you will check into your lodge and relax as you get ready for your Uganda gorilla trekking encounter the following day.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi

This is one of the best days for this 5-day Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari. This is the day you meet gorillas. Wake up to a hearty early morning breakfast and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing session before taking your respective trail to meet the gorillas in their natural habitat. The trek could last up to 8 hours, depending on how long it takes to meet the gorillas. This time includes a full hour encounter with these primates.

After meeting the gorillas, you will return to your starting point to collect your respective gorilla trekking certificates and then head back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After an early morning breakfast on this third day of your 5-day Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari, you will embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Kasese. Popularly known as Uganda’s most popular national park, Queen Elizabeth National Park is a haven for game viewing. It boasts a high concentration of lions, elephants, buffaloes, and shelters the only tree-climbing lions in Uganda. Upon reaching the park, you will proceed to your lodge for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Morning Game Viewing Drive and Afternoon Boat Cruise

Wake up to an early morning breakfast and head for a morning game drive on this 4th day of your 5-day Uganda gorillas & wildlife safari. You will visit several areas during your game drive, including the Kasenyi Trails, the prime area for game viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park. During this drive, you will see animals such as elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, warthogs, bushbucks, and several other species of mammals. After this thrilling morning game drive, you will return to the lodge to freshen up and relax before your afternoon activity.

After lunch, you will embark on a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, where you will see animals like hippopotamuses, crocodiles, and several aquatic species, along with land mammals hydrating at the banks of the lake. After this memorable boat cruise, you will return to your lodge to relax.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali & Departure

Early in the morning after breakfast, your guide will take you for a morning game drive as you exit Queen Elizabeth National Park and transfer you to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel of choice or at the airport for your departure, marking the end of your 5-Day Uganda Safari.
