Day 1: Pick up from Kigali and Transfer to Volcanoes NP. Start the hike

On this first day of your 2-Day Mount Karisimbi Hiking Tour, you will depart from Kigali early morning at around 5:00 am and transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at the park offices for briefing, outlining the hike procedures, and hire porters to assist with luggage if needed.

Begin the hike from the base camp, adjusting speed to accommodate the group’s pace. Camp overnight on the mountain slopes.

Day 2: Hike to the summit, descend, and depart to Kigali city

Wake up and continue the hike, which takes a few hours to reach the summit. Enjoy spectacular views of different mountains like Nyiragongo and Nyamuragira in DR Congo from the summit. Physical fitness is crucial to overcome this challenge.

After enjoying the summit, begin the descent journey back to the starting point where your driver/guide awaits. Return to Kigali city and be dropped off at an agreed point, marking the end of your 2-Day Mount Karisimbi Hiking Tour.
