Detailed 5-Day Kenya Safari Itinerary

6-Day Kenya Student Safari - Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha & Amboseli Adventure

Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Arrive at the airport and be picked up by a professional driver-guide who will give you a brief orientation about this great tour. You will then drive to Masai Mara National Reserve, which will be the first destination during this 6-day Kenya student safari.

Check in to your booked accommodation for dinner. If you arrive early, you will take part in an evening game drive.

Day 2: Full Day Game Viewing Experience

Spend a maximum of 8 hours in the savannas of Mara plains. These game drives will be non-stop, beginning at around 7:00 am.

There is an option of taking a morning balloon experience that lasts for 2 to 3 hours, flying above the Savannah plains of Mara, offering rewarding aerial panoramas of the entire landscape and all the wild animals.

Enjoy the golden sunrise in Masai Mara plains, picnic lunch, and photography. Animals that will be spotted include lions, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, among others.

Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

Take a short game drive lasting about 2 hours, starting at 6 am, which will leave you with fond memories of this park. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin the transfer to Lake Naivasha.

Enjoy an evening boat cruise, which will reward you with opportunities to spot hippos, zebras, waterbucks, wildebeests, and more in this park.

Day 4: Hell’s Gate National Park to Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, head to Hell’s Gate National Park while cycling; this is the best way to explore the beautiful scenery and wildlife more up close than when in a vehicle.

Arrive in Amboseli National Park later in the afternoon, where you will be able to explore the best of Kenya’s wildlife with a full day of game drive.

Day 5: Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Head out for a full day game drive in Amboseli, Kenya’s second most popular national park. Here you will encounter different animals such as lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, and many others.

In the evening, take an optional community tour where you will visit the Maasai people and explore their rich culture and history. They will entertain you through traditional dances and music. The day will also include a picnic lunch.

Day 6: Transfer Back to Nairobi

Enjoy the last sunrise game drive in Amboseli and take breakfast. Thereafter, you will transfer back to Nairobi with a picnic lunch along the way.

The guide will drop you at the airport, marking the end of this tour. Karibu Tena! (Welcome again).
