Detailed 3-Day Nyerere Fly-In Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Departure to Nyerere National Park & Community Tour
Be picked up from an agreed point in Dar-es-Salaam or Arusha and fly to Nyerere National Park in Tanzania.
Upon arrival at the park, have lunch and then visit one of the neighboring communities.
Explore their beautiful customs through cultural entertainment with music and dances.
Proceed to the Rufiji River for a boat cruise and discover water-loving animals like hippos, crocodiles, and more.
Day 2: Full day in Nyerere National Park (Game Drives)
Wake up early for a morning game drive lasting 3 to 4 hours. You may be lucky to spot different wild animals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, Grant’s zebras, wildebeests, impalas, hippos, and many others.
After lunch, embark on an afternoon boat cruise for another great adventure to spot more of the wild gems.
The game drive continues until sunset before returning to the lodge. Note that the timing of game drives can be adjusted since it’s a private tour.
Day 3: Fly to Dar-es-Salaam or Arusha and Depart
On this day, take a short nature walk safari with an armed park ranger followed by a flight to Dar-es-Salaam or Arusha.
